Pharmacy Tech

Under limited supervision, assists the pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood; types labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties. Adheres to the principals, philosophy and mission of Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in all aspects of job performance.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or the equivalent. One-year related pharmacy experience and/or training or graduate of certified training program/healthcare careers college. Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education, experience or subsequent training. Appropriate certificates or licenses required for the position. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
