We identify and develop recording artists and songwriters, and we produce, distribute and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music to delight and entertain fans around the world.Universal Music Manufacturing & Logistics is always seeking experienced professionals to support e-commerce and retail operations with inventory movement, inbound, and outbound transportation.Job Functions may include:Manage and oversee inbound shipments delivering to e-commerce fulfilment centersAssist fulfilment providers with inventory discrepancies and issue resolutionPrepare and report on music products procured for sale on artist eComm storesInitiate, manage and execute supply chain process improvement initiatives, processes, and proceduresShipment scheduling and trackingSubmitting bid requests, carrier selection, scheduling, and tracking outbound/inbound loads to ensure on-time deliveryOversee import/export processMaintain open communication with UMG Supply Chain Team, carriers, distribution providers, manufacturers, and suppliersCoordinate with Shipping Teams to execute load plan strategies for high-profile releasesProvide proactive shipment status updates to UMG Supply Chain Team and consigneeEnsure accurate manual entry and record updates to the Transportation Order Management System and/or SAPCollect and analyze transportation data and report performance and costMonitor, evaluate, and modify transportation strategies to improve delivery performance and reduce total delivered cost across all modes of transportation, including SPS, LTL, TL, Export/Import, and Heavy AirCommunicates and coordinates with carriers to obtain quotes and drive consolidation, when necessaryRequirements:EssentialExperience with order management and customer serviceStrong computer skills including extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelHigh Level of attention to detailKnows how or where to obtain information; is resourceful.Ability to analyze data and trends, make educated conclusions based upon data.Embraces teamwork; shares ideas / methods to improve performance.Proven verbal and written communication skills.Prioritizes work activities; plans and stays organizedManages timelines; deals effectively with the challenges of a fast pace, high pressure environment and deadlines.Takes independent action and works autonomously.Takes initiative and seeks increased responsibilities.Experience:Proven, positive track record as a Supply Chain professionalExperience with order management, and demonstrated proficiency with reporting and online tools to manage project tasksA minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer or vendor facing roleUnderstanding of order management, distribution, and transportation processesExpereince with SAP a plusEducation:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
