Job Summary and Qualifications * This is a FT Day Shift position, hours are typically 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday with rotating weekends * The Physical Therapist (PT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients in coordination with the physician and the patient care team.
The Physical Therapist completes patient assessments and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience.
The Physical Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patients physical therapy to support patients throughout the continuum of care.
What you will do in this role: You will provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
You will assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and participate in the development of the total plan of care.
You will provide purposeful and skilled therapeutic care at patients home, using procedures and techniques to produce a change in condition/function consistent with the physicians plan of care.
You will instruct patient/family/caregiver in the use of therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and/or prosthetic devices to be used outside of therapy sessions.
You will prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.
What qualifications you will need: Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy required
Must be licensed by the TX State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross required Minimum of 1 year experience required Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals are hospitals for specialized advanced cardiovascular and spine care.
