Plant Engineer, Care Chemicals, BASF - East Setauket, NY Formula for success... Leveraging your mechanical and troubleshooting expertise, you will support Operations on mechanical, processes, and other plant issues that arise, including leading and participating in root cause analysis and developing corrective action plans and strategies to reduce equipment downtime and unplanned losses. Using your project management skills, you will scope, design, and execute the startup of capital projects, interfacing with third party engineering firms and our project support team. Typical projects can range from $100K to $1MM+. Utilizing your engineering skills, you will support various programs including the site's Mechanical Integrity program, ensuring all assets are properly inspected and maintained; you will also support the pressure relief device program as well as P&ID's. You will also use your collaboration skills to interface with our engineering expert services group. You will also support and help lead our Environmental, Health, and Safety programs by leading projects, supporting the contractor safety program, and managing onsite contractor work including issuing work permits as needed. Qualifications... B.S. Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required Minimum 5 years industry experience preferred. Pay transparency BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $74,400 - $93,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
