Job Summary and Qualifications What You Will Do In This Role: PPS/PAI data and transmitting that data to CMS.
This includes assisting/assuring all disciplines maintain current educational requirements to maintain regulatory compliance.
PAI Coordinator is also responsible for patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Medical City.
In collaboration with the medical staff, patients, patients family and other members of the health care team, the PAI Coordinator is responsible for utilizing a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to coordinate the care of all patients.
In addition, the Coordinator may also be responsible for assessing nursing needs of patients (and in collaboration with Rehabilitation Services), planning interventions and evaluating outcomes of care.
The PAI Coordinator may also provide direct care within their scope and practice and delegate/collaborate care with other disciplines and non-licensed staff as it relates to the outcome and care of the inpatient rehabilitation patient.
PAI Coordinator may assist Admission Coordinator as necessary to increase efficiency of the unit.
What Qualifications You Will Need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Current Texas licensure/certification BS minimum in current field of study (nursing, physical therapy, Speech therapy or occupational therapy) Registered Occupational Therapist (ROT), or Occupational Therapy (OT), or Licensed Physical Therapist, or Speech Pathologist, or Registered Nurse Clinical experience in the care and management of the Inpatient Rehabilitation patient Minimum of 3 years recent clinical experience in inpatient rehab preferred and 1 year experience coordinating Prospective Payment System (PPS) and the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) Pass the licensed personnel FIM exam using the UDSMR Online Credentialing System within 60 days of hire and again as necessary to maintain the facilities UDS-PRO credential Advanced certification preferred Medical City Dallas is recognized for its advanced medical facilities and commitment to excellence in patient care.
