Position Summary: Walmart is seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Scientist with a strong Causal Inference background to join our Health & Wellness team in Sunnyvale, CA.

About Team: We are a high-powered team dedicated to providing innovative solutions at the intersection of retail and consumer health that empower Walmart's consumers, businesses, and partners to make informed decisions.
What you'll do:
Develop and apply causal inference methods to identify relationships between various health and wellness factors, such as nutrition, physical activity, and health outcomes.Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations that inform health and wellness initiatives and programs.Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to communicate insights and findings to stakeholders.Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data science, health and wellness, and causal inference, and apply this knowledge to improve our data analytics capabilities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data analysts, and subject matter experts to design and implement data pipelines and analytics solutions that drive insights and inform decision-making.Collaborate with external partners and vendors to evaluate the effectiveness of health and wellness interventions and programs.What you'll bring:
Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.8+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on causal inference.Strong understanding of statistical concepts such as regression, hypothesis testing, and confidence intervals.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R.Experience with data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools such as pandas, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn, or Tableau.Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques such as decision trees, random forests, and clustering.Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or GCP.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications:
