Principal Solutions Engineer - Data & Analytics Practice Location: Arizona, Dallas, Chicago is ideal (with up to 50% travel) Leading data management consulting firm specializing in Data Governance, Master Data Management (MDM), Advanced analytics and AI solutions. We support Fortune 500 clients in digital transformation, helping them improve customer experience, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making. Role Overview: This hybrid role merges technical leadership in data management and governance with high-level strategic relationship responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to design and deliver data-driven solutions while developing and managing key client relationships. You will work across various industries, especially CPG/Manufacturing, Financial Services, High Tech and Healthcare, providing technical solutions and expertise while also driving new business opportunities with clients and partners. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Client Relationship Management: Manage the entire sales cycle, from pursuit to close, leveraging expertise in Data Management, MDM, Governance, and Analytics. Build and maintain relationships with Senior and C-level executives, Partner teams including sales and technical, ensuring alignment between client needs and solutions. Lead strategic conversations around data transformation and governance, influencing senior management on key decisions. Manage large deal efforts driving technical art of the possible and growth through new business and expansion of existing client accounts. Technical Leadership in Data Management: Design and deliver scalable Integration, Mastering, Data Management and Data Governance solutions that meet client needs. Lead the technical delivery of data ecosystems, including governance and integration of structured and unstructured data. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to align technical and data architecture. Provide thought leadership in best practices, data quality, governance, and cloud-based analytics platforms. Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a team-oriented environment. Solution Development & Offering Innovation: Collaborate with internal teams to capture best practices and develop sales collateral, case studies, and deliverables for data management and governance solutions. Contribute to offering innovation by developing new approaches for analytics and delivering thought leadership through whitepapers, blogs and public speaking engagements. Drive the creation and management of partnerships with data management vendors such as Informatica, Microsoft, AWS, Google, Snowflake, Databricks, Profisee and others. Client Engagement & Project Delivery: Serve as a billable Subject Matter Expert (SME) on projects, guiding best practices and ensuring high-quality delivery. Lead clients through the requirements definition process, delivering impactful and scalable data solutions. Manage expectations and deliverables in complex, large-scale projects across multiple industries. Qualifications: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Technical Sales support with proven success in assisting to close deals within Fortune 500 companies, particularly in Analytics, MDM, Data Governance, or Cloud solutions. 15+ years of experience in Data Management Consulting, with strong expertise in designing and implementing solutions using platforms such as Informatica, Microsoft, Profisee and others. Proven experience in client and partner relationship management, with strong communication and storytelling skills. Demonstrated leadership skills in both technical delivery and sales environments, with the ability to influence and drive client outcomes. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, data warehousing, and modern integration patterns (ETL, ELT, API). Bachelor's Degree in a related field (master's preferred). Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely. Ability to travel up to 50%.
