Educational Qualification: B.Tech (Chemical Engineering)
Experience: 15 to 18 Yrs
Job Responsibilities: Drive continuous improvement by leveraging Process Intensification technologies including flow chemistry to reduce cost, reduce waste, and improve yield.Assess and manage process risks arising from scale or process changes, providing technical support to Production for routine manufacturing activities.Perform capacity analysis, identify bottlenecks, and strategize for debottlenecking and capacity enhancement.Support Plant in Change controls (Equipment change, Process change, Scale up, etc.) and investigations of OOS/OOT.Study the process and recycling of solvents, performing experiments in PD Lab, generating data, proposing changes/modifications in recovery processes, and establishing recovery processes for new solvent streams for target improvement in solvent recovery.Identify new technologies and conduct feasibility studies for new technologies in alignment with Process requirements and scalable processes.Coordinate with R&D for scale up, site transfer, process/technology improvement & troubleshooting for cost reduction projects.Responsible for utility load and capacity calculations, line sizing, and design for optimized usage of utility systems and for achieving optimum capacity.Prepare Capex Proposals (Concept notes, Savings/Payback calculations) for the purchase of new Process Intensification technologies, and coordinate with cross-functional teams for purchase, installation, and commissioning related activities.Apply lean manufacturing techniques and simulation tools, mentoring and training to the Process Engineering team across the API sites.Improve Process safety by training plant personnel and working on safety improvement projects.
