SUMMARY: Trains all Team Members to skills required on production line, performs daily quality checks, analyzes bottlenecks to workflow, and fosters and leads continuous improvement activities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned. Trains new employees using hands on / buddy system training technique in the areas of job duties, safety rules, standardized practices, continuous improvement.Communicates resource needs to supervisor based on available trained employeesEvaluates work of employees and provides corrective feedback training to ensure conformance and compliance to internal required work standards / techniques and all internal; customer; statutory / regulatory requirements, such as safety procedures.Fosters and leads continuous improvement activities when requiredCommunicates with the Production Training Specialist and/or Coordinator on training needs in a timely manner to ensure resources are available at the time of need.Communicates with the Production Training Specialist and/or Coordinator on feedback of employees training and training tool needsEnsures employees have required training prior to working on product in the work areaActs as the point of contact for new employees in the cell / work area. Answers questions, provides feedback; and guides employee to be successful at their job. Ensures employees are aware of policies and procedures and where to locate these itemsCommunicates with the Production Training Specialist and/or Coordinator on line / cell transfers on employees to ensure training records are updated accordingly.Communicates with Production Training Specialist and/or Coordinator on defects from line to determine training gapsEnters / Maintains records into QCBD when required.Ensures training to latest revision of revised documents, where applicable per the employee training matrices.Provides input on employees to leads, supervisors, training team on skills progress of employeeAttend and provide feedback at established update meetings, as requiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Requires knowledge typically acquired through:Completion of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five or more years related production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Exceptional working knowledge of equipment and procedures.Working knowledge of ExcelWorking knowledge of Systems (Internet Explorer; Document Data Control Systems)QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
