Galco Industrial Electronics, Inc., located in Madison Heights, Michigan, is a leading provider of industrial and commercial electrical and electronic controls, automation and motion products, repair, and engineering services.
Galco serves commercial and industrial businesses, contractors, government agencies, institutions, and utilities across the country.

We are currently looking for a Product Manager to join our team.
This position is full-time on-site.


The Product Manager is the key point of contact with Galco's extensive supplier base and is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the product and technical aspects of the supplier relationship.
This includes building strong supplier relationships, performing product and market evaluations, and recommending potential opportunities to drive sales within assigned supplier lines.
Primary Responsibilities:Manage key internal department relationships (sales, marketing, purchasing, etc..) ensuring alignment on business strategies.Conduct meetings with key suppliers to review sales results, inventory rotations, new product introductions, incentives, and upcoming campaigns.Alignment of monthly, quarterly, and yearly activities with the strategic direction of assigned supplier product lines.Collaborate with data content team ensuring data, product attributes, and descriptions are accurate and displayed properly on Galco's ecommerce platform.Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop product positioning and go-to-market strategies.Support and assist development of pricing and selling strategies for products across market segments and channels.Assess market competition by comparing the company's product positioning to key competitors' products.Maintain and grow professional and technical knowledge by attending suppliers training seminars both online and in person, along with establishing personal networks with key supplier contacts.Coordinate special price agreement requests between Galco sales and suppliers.Skills & Qualifications:Associate degree OR Bachelor of Science in Industrial Automation/Controls or a related field or similar experience within the industry2+ years of product management experience preferredPossess a sound technical foundation of product line offeringsA self-starter who looks for opportunities to create value for the companyIndividual must have the following competencies:Financial acumen, analytical capacity, attention to detail, communication, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, manages execution, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, professionalism, problem solving/analysis, project management, thoroughness, and efficient time management
