The Product Manager role involves the development and overseeing the successful release of Audio/Video products from the very best technologies in the market, such as HDMI, HDBaseT, Unified Communications with some cross-over technologies for the following markets:
Hospitality (sports bars & restaurants) Higher Education Corporate (conference rooms and office buildings) Government (training facilities & courtrooms Residential Responsibilities: Provide ongoing collaboration with factories, manufacturers, service providers and IP holders in relation to precursory and formal product projects Communicate with and provide all relevant supporting evidential aspects to the Product Development Manager regarding all initial and ongoing product-related tasks Engage with Marketing to facilitate the successful development of relevant materials Utilize market and industry experience and comprehensive feedback to provide evidence-driven effects on expected product success Consider and implement appropriate reactions to provide sales, performance, and technical support data Conduct research into related market trends, competitor products and behavior and emerging market potential and provide quarterly reports to relevant management persons.
Perform detailed technical analysis and testing of all sample products to ensure viability and suitability for subsequent release relevant to new products or software upgrades.
Formalize Product Requirement Documentation required for product sign-off Author MPDs for use by relevant company functions Produce all supporting product manuals, installation guides, technical data, key sales features, marketing hooks, Website textual content, release notes and related product documentation Realize solutions to technical problems by engaging with manufacturers and 3rd-party supporting product vendors Involvement with the planning and manning of trade show stands and partner events Attend product training events where required Visit manufacturers and potential suppliers to provide an appropriate level of ongoing relationship-building, business impetus and product discussions on at least a semi-annual frequency.
Requirements A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required.
At least 5-years' experience in relevant job position.
Well verse in Professional Audio Video verticals Full understanding of technologies including HDMI, HDBaseT, Unified Communications Strong social and writing skills A vision for providing creative and innovative solutions in target markets.
