Scope:We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented, collaborative, enthusiastic, and innovative network troubleshooting and diagnostic expert to join the Product Organization Solution Architect team. If you have found success in troubleshooting and resolving complex wired and wireless networking problems at a customer site under tight deadlines and scrutiny, your expertise would help shape and guide Artificial Intelligence-based network troubleshooting solutions of tomorrow. You will bring your hands-on expertise in networking, security, and AI to share your insight, ideas, and feedback to product management to help define and refine new AI capabilities. As these features develop, you will help demonstrate and teach the field how to leverage the new capabilities. As a member of the product organization's Solution Architects team, you will join our team of hands-on technical experts for our cloud-enabled network solutions, rapidly gaining know-how of our hardware and software solutions, and proactively sharing that knowledge with the field, support organization, and documentation teams.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Align with product management to proactively conceive testbeds and test scenarios to help our AI team build better troubleshooting, diagnostic, and security capabilities.Become a leading technical expert on Extreme Networks cloud networking, security, and AI-based offerings, providing an advocacy and advisory role between the technical field personnel and product management.Develop an in-depth understanding of Extreme Networks enterprise cloud networking portfolio and provide insight where more in-depth correlation and visibility is needed between different product portfolios.Deliver video and webinar-based product demonstrations, written deployment guidance and solutions, answer technical questions and develop and maintain competitive analysis of cloud-enabled Wi-Fi solutions to help product management to better define and develop our differentiation.Experience: Your background should include:Over 3 years of experience with Network Diagnosis and Troubleshooting, either in a Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, Technical Marketing Engineer, or Support Technician capacity.Robust experience troubleshooting 802.11 based wireless networking, Edge Ethernet Switching, Network Security, VLANs, RADIUS servers/NAC, DHCP, DNS, and other cloud networking technologies on live customer networks.Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and Large Language Models (LLMs), with appreciation of how they could be applied to networking troubleshooting is not required but would be considered a plus.A strong understanding of user experience with expertise to engage in discussions and weigh in when the team needs inputs to evaluate trade-offs.A strong analytical skillset to influence product strategy and product roadmaps through knowledge of the product, the competitive landscape, and customer needs.Experience enabling or engaging with enterprise sales teams, channel partners, and customers.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a remote role with distributed teams.Experience includes cross collaboration across teams to deliver products and services.Excellent written and spoken communication skills, ability to communicate to an executive audience.Experience with Python and API scripting would also be considered a plus.Geography – Primary: San Francisco Bay Area/San Jose.Extreme Networks, Inc.
