Join our Process Automation sector on the IMI Graduate Programme in the USA and gain unique production engineering experience.
In this role, you'll be working on developing and implementing process improvement activities that support Operation's multi-functional teams.
This position will provide you an excellent springboard into a career in production engineering/operations leadership from the experience that will be gained with Lean tools, Six Sigma, and best in class manufacturing practices.
You will accelerate and support the cultural and process change efforts within the Operations group and help achieve the organizational goals.
You will use your technical skills to monitor and improve productivity and ensure all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality, and cost-conscious manner.
By the end of the programme, you'll have additional skills needed to further enhance your journey into the incredible field of Production Engineering!
You'll spend two years running and supporting in several areas, on tasks including:
Supporting process improvement actions with environmental, health, and safety efforts in support of plant goals.
Utilizing technical skills to implement actions to improve products and process to increase quality, customer responsiveness, or operational efficiencies.
Be a liaison between functional areas on projects that have a multi-organization or business unit scope.
Assist in the identification and removal of barriers to successful project completion.
Provide management with project status updates and feedback.
What you need
Our programme offers the opportunity to work across multiple locations, which means you may need to relocate, dependent upon business need.
This could be within the country you're applying for, sometimes it may be to another country.
You will also need a bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent) in a business discipline (i.e., Business Administration, Operations, MBA), or in Engineering (i.e.
Mechanical, Process Engineering).
