What you’ll do

As a Production Launch Engineer at Scout Motors, you'll be at the forefront of our launch projects, steering and leading cross functional teams within the production area, to shaping the future of our excellent vehicles, incorporating new processes, strategies, and standards.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
KPI and Milestone Achievement:Lead the charge in meeting project milestones and KPIs efficiently and with top-notch quality.
Problem Solving:Tackle challenges head-on to ensure smooth project outcomes.
Communication and Cooperation:Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams across production and other departments.
Decision-Making Processes:Craft well-informed briefing and decision papers based on thorough information gathering.
Information/Knowledge Management:Harness information networks for effective knowledge transfer.
Continuous Improvement:Drive initiatives to optimize production and project processes.
Stakeholder Communication:Manage expectations and address concerns.
Risk Management:Independently implement strategies to mitigate project risks.
Process Creation and Implementation:Develop, implement and establish processes to boost production efficiency and uphold best practices.

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Education:Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related fields. Specialization in Production Management or Planning preferred.
Experience:Proven track record in (production) project management, especially in the automotive industry. Understanding of car production processes is crucial.
Technical Understanding:Strong grasp of production processes and their impact on project milestones.
Problem-Solving Skills:Proficiency in identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions.
Communication:Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration with internal departments, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $100,000-$120,000
Internal leveling code: IC9
