We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented individual with a passion for pet hair to fill the position of Professional Dog Groomer & Stylist at our Houston location near NRG stadium.
Groomers receive 50% commission plus tips.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Providing pet quality and breed standard cuts to client specifications
* Providing professional bathing and spa services
* Greeting and engaging with clients in person and on the phone to discuss grooming needs and preferences
* Making and updating appointments
* Promoting grooming services to current and potential clients
* Following all pet health and safety protocols
Note: The work schedule for the Pet Groomer & Stylist may include weekends as well as some holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* A minimum of 2 years experience as a professional groomer and pet stylist is preferred
* Knowledge of common breed standard cuts
* Hand scissoring techniques
* Must be physically able to handle and secure large and small dogs
* Successful candidates must have strong customer service and communication skills

Qualifications For This Position: Education :
Professional Grooming Certifications preferred but not required
Experience : Professional grooming experience preferredStrong knowledge of individual breed standards and breed cutsUse of proper scissoring techniques Responsibilities: Provide an overall positive experience for the pets as they are being groomed, including compassion, gentleness, reassurance, safety, and comfort. Ensure that all guests are groomed or bathed (depending on the parents requests) to the parents specifications. Grooms/Baths must be completed on time. Work with Grooming Coordinator and Client Experience Representatives to schedule appointments or schedule grooming appointments yourself, including setting up new clients in online software and discussing vaccination protocol with both new and existing clients. Meet and greet all grooming clients whenever possible to discuss grooming instructions after assessing the dogs coat and condition. Meet with clients or communicate after groom on results, including providing report cards. Suggest any added services that would be beneficial to the client. Ensure client satisfaction by resolving any customer service issues within your capabilities. Ensure the dog has water and a chance to relieve themselves if he or she will be with you for over 2 hours. Consult with other departments as needed
