KNIME is growing rapidly and we're seeking smart, motivated, and creative people up for the challenge of helping us achieve ambitious scaling goals while continuing to empower the active community. Right now, we are looking for a Professional Services - Solution Architect to join our customer care team in Austin, TX.*You are a curious person with an entrepreneurial spirit who likes to play around with new technology, has a broad set of skills related to technology in general, and specifically software architecture. You are an expert in OpenShift with at least 3 years of practical experience. You are also familiar with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and know your way around load balancers, object stores, databases, and especially Kubernetes clusters. You also enjoy puzzling together different pieces of software to come up with scalable, stable, and maintainable architecture solutions. You enjoy passing on knowledge to like-minded peers, but you also enjoy communicating very technical topics to non-technical people. You have or are working on a Kubernetes certification, either CKAD, CKA or CKS. 
 Understanding KNIME Software like KNIME Analytics Platform and KNIME Hub is a plus but not strictly required. We can provide training for that and other topics on the job.? 
To communicate with colleagues, partners, and clients, you speak English fluently.As a Solution Architect at KNIME, you are part of the professional services delivery team within the Customer Care team and work side-by-side with our Account Managers, Customer Success Managers, and Solution Engineers. You ensure that the technical scoping, delivery and implementation of the promised architecture goes smoothly.
Internally, you are the first one to try out new features and changes in our software and you are able to communicate those and the pitfalls you encountered to the rest of the team. This includes presentations and creating documentation. 
 
Additionally, you review and validate solutions other engineers come up with and share best practices around our software in enterprise architectures. 
When working with clients, you map the customer's business problem to an enterprise architecture around KNIME Business Hub. Moreover, you integrate customers' security and authentication/authorization frameworks. 
In customer onboarding you drive the process form a tech standpoint. You will communicate (document) with the development/cloud teams about issues encountered and help develop solutions or product requirements to resolve the issues. All the while you make sure the customer gets the best out of our software stack and you can communicate our product portfolio, Business Hub concepts and features, as well as technical requirements to a diverse set of stakeholders.
