ESA seeks a highly motivated Project Control Analyst with at least 7 years of experience who can support the financial and logistical efficiency of large-scale on-call contracts in close collaboration with the Contract and Project Managers. This opportunity places a high value on collaboration, delivery, and efficiency. For the properly qualified candidate, we're open to a remote schedule working PST hours 8:30am - 5:30pm PST. Preference will be given to candidates in the PST time zone.
Who You AreYou are an experienced Project Administrator/Financial Analyst with at least 7 years of experience in project and/or contract administration and financial analysis. You have a comprehensive understanding of and ability to implement procedures for meeting complex contract and compliance requirements; demonstrate clear knowledge and assessment of key financial metrics related to project/portfolio performance to accurately communicate forecasts, trends, and anomalies; and are confident and effective in communicating and coordinating with a diverse, dynamic team.You consistently demonstrate integrity, accountability, and efficient stewardship of resources and can protect ESA's interests by ensuring all legal requirements are met and complied with through proactive practices, research, and actions.You have solid knowledge of contract principles and practices, and project contract and change order documents. You are strong in analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills and have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.You possess solid writing skills, exceptional oral presentation skills, and attentive listening skills; you are capable of presenting complex information understandably and can speak persuasively about complex topics and sensitive and/or confidential issues to Contract and Project Managers and other stakeholders. You are comfortable and confident with verbal and written communication to provide essential information to all members of the project team.You hold a Bachelor's degree in business and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience.Preference is given to candidates with prior consulting experience.Remote candidates must be located in one of the following States: Alaska, California, Colorado, Maine, New York, Oregon, Washington, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington D.C., Wisconsin. What You Will Do for ESAThe Project Control Analyst is a mid-level classification in the Project Accounting job series. This role works cooperatively with Contract and Project Managers to ensure efficient delivery of multi-year contracts, and with regional and project leadership to ensure complete and accurate submittal of fee proposals.
As a Project Control Analyst assigned to specific contracts, you will ensure that all contracting, coordination, budgeting, financial management, and reporting processes run smoothly. You will monitor the progress of a project to ensure that it is performing within the contracted scope of work, schedule, and budget including approved staff/rates. You will prepare and present project performance reporting and monthly forecasting for clients in coordination with Contract and/or Project Managers. You will also support monthly invoice submittals and may support Project Managers with resource planning for the timely, efficient, and fiscally responsible execution of scope.
As a partner to regional and project leadership, you will review fee proposal spreadsheets prior to submittal to help ensure accurate and effective pricing.

ESA has established multiple pay ranges tailored to the economic factors in the geographies in which ESA staff reside. For this position, the range is approximately as listed based on our anticipated hiring locations as noted in the above job details. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including but not limited to an individual's related experience, education, skills, and the city in which the applicant lives. $68,125 - $104,916 USD
