Project Cost Engineer

Position Summary PMA is currently seeking a Project Cost Engineer for an exclusive assignment to work on a portfolio of high-profile utility projects. This hybrid role touches all aspects of database management, project management, cost controls, and client relationship management. 
In this role, you will be working on a variety of projects. You will create and maintain databases to improve the efficiency of materials and financial reports. Using SAP and MS Excel, you will create, modify, and generate ad hoc and periodic reports. You will track, monitor, and report on monthly project/program progress, and troubleshoot database issues as they arise.
This full-time position offers a hybrid work option that combines on-site requirements with some flexibility to work remotely.
\n Position Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline required.5+ years experience in some combination of cost control and data analysis and manipulation for complex, large-scale construction projects required.Experience developing and managing project forecasts (EAC) and cash flow required.Ability to perform cost per unit analysis and quantity tracking and to provide variance explanation report required. Ability to review estimate details so variances can be explained at a detailed level required.Experience downloading actuals from SAP and updating Excel monthly required.Experience in the identification of risks and analysis of impacts on the project budget required. Strong communication skills and client/stakeholder management required. Demonstrated competency with MS Excel, Power BI, and data management required.
\nAdditional Requirements Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
