DescriptionThe Department of Medicine seeks a skilled Project Director to lead and manage all aspects of program operations to achieve the mission and objectives of the project. Responsibilities include comprehensive planning, coordination, strategic development, communications, staff supervision, training, financial oversight, and grant writing. This role also involves coordinating and executing project activities in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective communication skills, provide strong staff supervision, and ensure adherence to UCLA, state, and federal regulations.
Annual Range: $68,800-$141,000
QualificationsRequired: Bachelor's degree or 4-5 years of experience.Ability to work independently and also have interpersonal skills to work with teams.Exceptional writing skills to produce a wide range of documents and deliverables.Experience communicating effectively and professionally and working with a variety of internal and external partners, including UCLA administrators, outside funders, policy makers, and community representatives.Strong organizational skills to successfully work on and track complex programs involving short deadlines and multiple tasks, in coordination with multiple teams to achieve program/project mission and goals.Working knowledge of program/project development, evaluation, creating datasets, financial management and reporting, research principles including CITI training, grant writing and proposal submission, University procedures and policies, program/project related federal and state regulations.Ability to seek out and learn new policies, procedures, and software to advance the mission of the program/project.Ability to train new program/project managers and other staff within and external to the unit.Preferred: Master's degree or 2-3 years of experience.
