Purpose and Scope:
Under the direction of the Project Manager, responsible for work coordination of project deliverables from initiation to completion, including design, modification, installation, and initial training, as required.
Essential Responsibilities: Reports to the site Project Manager.
Knowledge of microgrid and Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) coding is required.
Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and associated systems such as human-machine interfaces is preferred.
Knowledge of Medium Voltage (15KV minimum) electrical distribution system infrastructure that include components such as switchgear, transformers, duct bank, manholes, and cabling is preferred Coordinates project deliverables from internal entities and subcontractors to the client.
If site administrator is not available, collects information and generates daily, weekly, and monthly reports for Project Manager's review.
Coordinate field discrepancies with the designer of record Tracks all field and vendor request for information Collect O&M manuals for transfer of custody.
Develops new or improved techniques to accomplish engineering assignments.
Coordinate subcontractor schedule updates.
Review subcontractor payment vouchers.
Works with the Project Manager to maintain a close working relationship with the customer, and provides guidance and advice to the Statement of Work (SOW) issues Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Project, Facility Management, with preference in Electrical Engineering or photovoltaic SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) coding or demonstrated equivalent and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
PE license is preferred but not required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) and Safety Trained Supervisor - Construction (STS-C) certifications are recommended.
Capable of providing engineering management at construction site Knowledge with identification and correction of systems and equipment deficiencies of existing base systems Ensures conformance with configuration management (CM).
Understanding of regulatory requirements related to storage, transfer, transport, and management of battery energy storage systems.
Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Position requires ability to clear US military base entry requirement, both for self and personal owned vehicle, if driven on base.
Position may require travel.
