Silverado Contractors, Inc. Intern Program provides challenging and rewarding opportunities for college students majoring in the Construction Industry.


Our internship positions provide college students an opportunity to gain "real-world" experience in their specific area of study.
Interns will work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides invaluable experiences applying the knowledge and skills learned through education in a business environment.


Silverado Interns work on a project team and with other stakeholder teams (such as safety, environmental, estimating, etc.).
Duties include attending meetings, assisting Project Managers with various day-to-day activities and deliverables, etc.
Anticipated work schedule is a full-time summer position for 8 to 10 weeks.


Learning Opportunities Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing. Support quality assurance and quality control. Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checking of work to confirm work is in conformance with plans and specifications. Review project drawings and coordinate any RFIs and contract changes. Provide document control assistance for correspondence, submittals, design releases etc. Initiate engineering design clarifications. Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis for maximization of operation efficiency. Assist with preparing and updating project schedule and interact will all involved in the scheduling decision processes. Respond to field for design clarification and manage subcontractors field operations, verify contract payments. Provide design assistance to the project engineer for the design of temporary structures using computer aided design tools. Requirements

Knowledge in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent customer relationship skills

Industry experience or enrolled in a Construction Management or Civil Engineering Program

Field engineer interns/co-ops are required to be currently enrolled in Engineering, Construction Management or a similar program at an accredited technical college or university.

Hourly Rate - $18.00 to $25.00 dependent on the level of education and/or prior industry experience.
