About Everblue: Everblue is a mission-driven, veteran-owned small business. Our team is committed to improving careers, government processes, and energy market transformation. We leverage our technology solutions to manage the process for citizens applying for Home Energy Rebates, contractors conducting the home upgrades, and the disbursement of funds to contractors for the work performed. Currently, we are under contract to perform this work for North Carolina and Nevada but will likely add 2-3 more states or territories in the months ahead.
Role Overview: Are you a tech-savvy leader passionate about energy efficiency and process improvement? In this Project Manager role, you will oversee multiple projects aimed at optimizing the North Carolina and Nevada Home Energy Rebates (HER) programs. This hybrid role combines project management, stakeholder engagement, subcontractor management, and technical advising to drive impactful change across North Carolina. If you're an excellent communicator, proactive problem solver, and comfortable with travel, we'd love to have you join our team!
Key Responsibilities: - Stakeholder Engagement & Consultation: Travel within North Carolina and to Nevada to conduct interviews with stakeholders (contracting companies, non-profit organizations, utility companies, weatherization assistance providers, and state government staff), identifying needs and pain points and synthesizing them into the project plan.
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Analyze feedback to identify common challenges and requirements, creating a standardized scope of work that addresses these issues. Document and assess current processes in terms of effectiveness and compliance.
- Technical Coordination & Implementation Support: Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with project goals. Work with software developers to ensure the final solution is user-friendly and meets stakeholder needs.
- Project Management: Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and create comprehensive project documentation. Prepare and communicate regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Subcontractor Management: Manage metrics, goals, and milestones for subcontractors. Track payments based on performance and deliverables.
- Communication of Process Changes: Clearly and empathetically communicate proposed process changes to stakeholders, using engaging messaging to encourage adoption. Serve as a point of contact for contractors, ensuring their feedback is heard and addressed.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare reports on consultation findings, project progress, and implementation outcomes.
Requirements: - Demonstrated project management skills, preferably with experience in software-related projects.
- Familiarity with energy efficiency, energy rebate programs, or similar energy efficiency programs.
- Strong product management and product design skills, ensuring the development of user-friendly software solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and motivate stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for technology, innovation, and process improvement.
- Willingness to travel for stakeholder interviews and project coordination.
