Campus Title: Project Manager

Position Summary: The Project Manager works within the department of Facilities Planning & Construction. This position reports to the Director of Facilities Planning & Construction and collaborates with design professionals in architectural and engineering fields, the State University Construction Fund (SUCF), Office of the State Comptroller, SUNY System Administration, Facilities Services, Planning & Construction, and campus customers on the design, construction, and administration of campus projects. The Project Manager is expected to provide the best possible design and construction within time, scope, and budget, while minimizing the negative impacts of construction on campus operations. The incumbent in this position is expected to work in a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all applicable SUNY procedures.Identify project scope of work and solicit consultants for design services.Assist in project design reviews of drawings and specifications.Assist in the bidding process and manage construction progress.Facilitate the flow of information to and from the construction team and end users.Required Qualifications: High school degree and a minimum of four years of experience in project management, construction administration, and inspections, including diverse experience in civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing construction projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).Valid New York State driver's license.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusivity, and belonging.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in an architectural/engineering field and five years of experience in project management, construction administration, and inspections, including diverse experience in architectural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing construction projects.Working proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Assetworks, Google Drive, OneDrive, and other collaborative software.Supervision: The Project Manager reports to the Director of Planning and Construction and typically does not supervise lower-level staff.
Salary: Minimum of $65,000
