At CESO, it is the role of a Civil Engineering Project Manager to plan, execute, and deliver projects in accordance with client expectations. This includes but is not limited to managing the efforts of internal team members as well as third party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. Additionally, the Civil Engineering Project Manager will define a project's objectives, oversee quality control, and maintain responsibility for timelines and budgets. You will have primary responsibilities that include:
Define and establish project scope, schedule and budget for projects as well as maintain quality control over a project's lifecycleOutline project objectives and timelines for completion and effectively communicate them to involved parties throughout projectServe as a primary point of contact with assigned clients through frequent communication methods and lead client meetingsLead the preparation of civil engineering project proposalsManage a staff of engineers and technicians and assign workloadsCommunicate project status and performance to executive leadershipMonitor project progress to ensure adherence with contractual agreementsAssure project documentation and reporting are accurately maintainedOversee coordination with clients as well as outside agencies and consultants for procurement of sub-consultant needs and jurisdictional reviewsElicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other internal departmentsProvide resolution to client and project issuesResponsible for invoicing of clients and tracking accounts receivable on a monthly basisAct as a team resource on complex engineering issuesDevelop and grow business relationships with existing client contactsMotivate team members through the creation of a positive work environment by providing mentoring, coaching, and training to assist in professional developmentOther project and supervisory duties as assignedPosition requirements include:
Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer Licensure (PE) is preferred5+ years of experience leading the management of projectsProficient in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn, HydroCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, DeltekExcellent communication and delegation skillsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage and mentor a teamBenefits and Perks Include:
