This project is based in Arizona and Texas. Our client: A leading civil engineering and mining firm, is currently seeking a Scheduler with expertise in civil engineering, and mining projects. As the selected candidate, you will play a pivotal role in leading project engineering operations for our client's mining projects. Responsibilities: Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules for mining projects, aligning with project objectives and timelines. Resource Management: Coordinate resource allocation and utilization to optimize efficiency and productivity throughout the project lifecycle. Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project teams and stakeholders to align scheduling activities with project requirements. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and deliver clear project reports, highlighting key performance indicators and milestones to stakeholders. Utilization of Tools: Leverage project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to streamline scheduling processes and enhance project visibility. Process Optimization: Implement and refine scheduling processes to improve overall project performance and efficiency. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the scheduling team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve scheduling practices to drive operational excellence and project success. Rotation and Travel: Follow a 14–7 rotation schedule with travel on Days 0 and 15. Qualifications and Experience: Education: Degree in project management, engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in the mining industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and advanced knowledge of scheduling principles and methodologies. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project data and trends. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders. Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of leading successful scheduling teams. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
