Job DescriptionThe SAE's main goal will be to generate national media coverage promoting the cities, states and regions that we represent as ideal locations for business investment.
The SAE will achieve this goal primarily through media relations and earned story placements in top-tier print, national and online media.
The SAE will have a prominent writing role, which includes developing story pitches and occasional press releases and byline articles too.
The SAE will be tasked with identifying timely story hooks, developing strategic pitches, cultivating relationships with influential media contacts, delegating assignments, providing PR counsel to clients and working closely with the VP of Economic Development PR to develop and execute strategic PR plans for clients.
We are looking for a creative, high-achieving public relations professional who is strong in media relations, has a track record of cultivating media relationships and securing positive story placements, has excellent writing skills and can build client relationships.
Qualifications 3-4 years of PR and media relations experience required 1 year minimum of Agency experienceStrong, creative, AP-style writing is an absolute must with the ability to "spot" a story angleExperience executing PR strategies for a variety of industries including B2B
