As the Purchasing Manager for TVS Supply Chain Solutions, N.A. you will be part of a team implementing change! The purchasing manager will oversee the management of MRO spend negotiating and managing agreements that optimize the total value for TVS in compliance with established purchasing polices. The Purchasing Manager will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders on launching new sites.The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing Supplier relations while building and then maintaining relationships with suppliers, evaluating, and analyzing purchasing trend and price trend to identify forecasting demand and minimize purchasing costs. The Purchasing Manager will support the Director of Procurement.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Collaborates with other departments and leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for all MRO items and services.Provide strategic direction for the regional MRO procurement strategy, working directly with Functional stakeholders and the Procurement team within TVS Supply Chain, N.A., to drive and influence best practices from both a commercial and operations perspective.Supports the resolution of contractual issues and maintains excellent customer relations, both internal and external. Prepares and presents market conditions and merchandise cost reports. Prepares and processes purchase orders and requisitions for MRO items and services. Evaluate and approve conditions for issuing and awarding bids. Resolves grievances with vendors, contractors, and suppliers. Acts as the companys representative in negotiations with suppliers. Performs other duties as assigned. Prepare annual category plans and budget and prepares monthly spending analysis reports. Develop communication reviews with leadership, reviewing suppliers, upcoming projects and understand the business needs. Monitors vendor performance and adherence to contract requirements. Monitors site compliance with company policies and procedures. Develop effective and efficient procurement practices for major commodities and components with objective to reduce overall costs. Conduct Supplier Performance Management activities including but not limited to Supplier Business Review Meetings, Scorecards, and Compliance requirements.CompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven negotiation skills. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and vests are required for personal protective equipment (PPE) when in a warehouse location.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkFull Time, ExemptTravelTravel between sites is expected.Education and Experience5+ years of experience in a related field required. Purchasing and project leadership skills Ability to analyze and to apply strategic frameworks for continual development.
