Quality Assurance Technician

General Description:  HRL Laboratories seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join the HRL Quality team in support of HRL's ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems (QMS), and to ensure HRL's products and processes meet quality standards. This individual will report to the Quality Manager and support process owners in compliance to HRL's policies and procedures.
Essential Duties: Provide quality assurance support, primarily in HRL's processes related to calibration, ESD control.  
Support the management and scheduling of the calibration program, to include: Retrieving calibration certificates from custodians,
maintaining calibration database, and tracking equipment that is coming due for calibration maintenance.
Support the management and scheduling of the ESD control program, to include: Deployment of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) assets, assisting in ESD verification testing, tracking status of ticket requests, maintaining and ordering inventory supplies, and
supporting program planning of materials and elements.
Provide administrative and technical support for the calibration and ESD control programs, to include: escorting 3rd party technicians related to calibration and ESD control activities, placing and tracking status of purchase orders, assisting in training administration, and providing reports and metrics.
Required Skills:  Experience working with calibrated tools & equipment.
Experience with purchasing, inventory, and tracking.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Exemplary attention to detail.
Microsoft Excel & Word.
Familiarity with ticket tracking systems - preferred.
Familiarity in audit planning and scheduling - preferred.
Required Education:  High School Diploma
Physical Requirements:  Good physical condition
Be able to move, lift, and carry medium weight tools and equipment up to 50lbs
Special Requirements: This position is 100% on-site.
Must be willing to travel to any site needed between Malibu, Lost Hills, Camarillo, and Westlake.
This position requires that the applicant selected be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Compensation: The range for this full-time position is $34.07 - $41.54 per hour + bonus + benefits.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
