Job Title: CT Technician Job Specialty: Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5p-5a Friday and Saturday, plus a float day Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: ARRT, BLS Must-Have: Ability to work independently during night shifts Job Description: - Perform CT scans with and without contrast for head, spine, abdomen, pelvis, CTA PE, runoff, and extremities.- Conduct general X-ray procedures, including chest X-rays, PICC line placement, tube placement, and trauma for extremities.- Operate Toshiba 64 Slice CT Scanner and Carestream X-ray equipment.- Work as the sole staff member in the department between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.- Average of 2-6 CT scans and 1-4 X-rays per night, depending on the night.- Utilize EPIC and McKesson PACS for electronic medical records and imaging.- Start IVs when necessary, especially if the ED IV requires replacement.- Complete Epic training as part of on-site department-specific orientation.- Report to Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech.- No call or standby required.- Wear scrubs of your choosing.
