Radiation Oncologist

Symmetrio is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncologist to join a multidisciplinary oncology team in Montgomery, Alabama.
The ideal candidate will provide expert care in the treatment of cancer patients using radiation therapy, demonstrate a commitment to improving patient outcomes, and contribute to advancing the practice of radiation oncology.
ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive evaluations of cancer patients and develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.Administer radiation therapy using advanced technologies, including 3D-CRT, IMRT, SBRT, brachytherapy, and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT).Oversee and collaborate with medical physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and nursing staff to ensure accurate and safe delivery of treatments.Monitor patient progress during and after treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and manage side effects.Participate in tumor board meetings and collaborate with surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care.Contribute to clinical trials and research initiatives, advancing the knowledge and practice of radiation oncology.Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.Engage in community outreach and education to promote cancer prevention and early detection.Minimum QualificationsMedical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.Board certification or board eligibility in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent.Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain one).Proficiency in modern radiation therapy techniques and technologies.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.Dedication to ongoing professional development and education.BenefitsHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)401k Retirement PlanPaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Flexible Scheduling
