Scope of Work: Maintain mission situational awareness to ensure safe range operations.
Responsibilities: Maintain mission situational awareness to ensure safe range operations. Facilitate aviation ordnance delivery with aircrews using two-way radio equipment. Observe ordnance drops, obtain and record scoring information via local Mission Support Forms (MSF) (excel spreadsheet) and enter data into Target and Range Information Management System (TRIMS) prior to 0900 of the next business day. Provide support for other facilitators in a range safety observer capacity. Communicate with aircrews during missions to provide information pertinent to successful mission completion. Properly control and monitor ground movement of range users, range workers, visitors and other construction support personnel. Coordinate with FACSFAC VACAPES for daily, weekly and monthly training schedules. Update MSF for all missions, range movement and equipment outages as necessary. Assist with aircraft and ship emergencies when directed by competent government authority. Educate and assist government, military and civilian personnel in range operations. Adhere to environmental, safety and health standards related to the activity. Accurately document work performed in the IEMS. Successfully complete all assigned training and ensure its entry into their training jacket. Operate and assist with range scoring systems, Mobile Land Target (MLT), laser/threat systems, and any other range equipment. May be required to travel to support other Combat Tactical Training Range (CTTR) locations nationwide. Shift work will be required to meet customer needs. May be assigned as Tower Operations Lead duties. Assist in the creation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) for all operations positions. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Five years of experience as a full-time Range Control Facilitator. Proven ability to train and receive certifications in related fields. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Intermediate knowledge of IEMS systems associated with this contract. Must submit to laser operations ocular examination as required. Must submit to medical examinations pursuant to assigned job duties. Ability to speak, read, and write English. Ability to interact well with others in a team setting. Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment. Highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite. Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety and standard safety practices. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules as necessary. Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license.
