Job Description: Blackstone's real estate debt business (BREDS) provides creative and comprehensive financing solutions across the capital structure and risk spectrum.
The group originates loans and invests in debt securities underpinned by high-quality real estate.
The BREDS Capital Markets team seeks a Principal to focus on innovative and sophisticated structuring and securitization of commercial mortgage loans, CMBS and other real estate credit products.
Responsibilities Structure financing transactions, securitizations and/or re-packs to achieve efficient rating and capital treatment, especially for insurance capital Work with BREDS senior management and global BREDS capital markets team to develop and execute new financing strategies Lead negotiation of financing terms and transactions Lead execution and closing of transactions Assist in the preparation of materials used to market transactions Evaluate business development opportunities for BREDS Face the market, specifically financing counterparties, to represent BREDS Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience Deep understanding of capital efficiency and structuring requirements for insurance capital Deep understanding of securitization structures and mechanics Experience in dealing with rating agencies and rating agency methodologies Experience in structuring CMBS, CLO and/or ABS transactions In depth knowledge of key finance documents and structural elements Strong attention to detail, well-organized with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities at once Strong communication and interpersonal skills Team player Interest and experience in using new technologies to optimize processes High level of professional integrity and professional conduct

Expected annual base salary range:
$210,000 - $250,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location.
For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
