OVERVIEW: As the Regional Sales Director, you will play a crucial role in steering the company toward growth, increased profitability, and expanded market presence. Your responsibilities will encompass directing the sales efforts within the designated region (Western US), crafting strategic initiatives, determining optimal pricing strategies, collaborating with distribution channels to regulate local inventory levels, and contributing to the recruitment and enhancement of regional sales representatives. You will be a part of the North American Regional Sales Team - KSB North America, reporting to the Mining Manager. The product lines supported in the sales role are GIW slurry and KSB non-slurry pumps on both sales and service sides of the business.

To excel in this Sales role, you should possess knowledge of the mining/utilities sector, demonstrate a track record of achievement in manufacturing sales, particularly within the slurry pumping industry, and exhibit proficiency in sales through representatives and/or distributors. KSB is a highly-matrixed environment with critical internal and external stakeholders; you should be comfortable working in this model.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Determines regional sales strategies, goals, etc. to align with corporate strategies/goalsFacilitates coordination of company processes and communication for assigned sales territoryDevelops, controls, and ensures adherence to the regional budgetProvides sales market projections and additional reports that support the achievement of regional sales targetsGuarantees adequate coverage of current markets and identifies opportunities for growth within the regionOversees all facets of sales within the assigned region by encompassing end-users, contractors, and architectural/engineering levelTrains, develops, and evaluates Customer Service Representatives, Distributors, and independent repsDirects customer services team by evaluating feedback to develop suitable strategies, objectives, tactics, and benchmarks to advance the interests of both the region and the overall organizationCultivates customer relationships by assisting in the creation of blanket orders, stocking programs to facilitate current and future business prospects, scrap buy-back initiatives, and moreEffectively employs company tools to ensure thorough follow-up on all active quotations, obtaining their status and actively pursuing the closure of sales.Conducts scheduled sales and service visits to both prospective and current clients alongside Representatives/Distributors, fostering relationships and exploring new business avenuesIdentifies potential growth areas and appoints dealers within the region to expand KSB US business opportunitiesQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or Engineering AND a minimum of five years of capital goods sales experience, preferably in the slurry pumping industryFamiliarity with mining and utility marketsExpertise in slurry pumps and fluid handlingExperience in sales through representatives or distributorsTRAVEL: This role involves acting as a bridge between the company and its customers, requiring regular visits to maintain strong working connections. When not on-site with customers, the position will operate remotely.
*Arizona or Southwest Region is the ideal location for this role; however, location is flexible but must be located in the Pacific time zone* Position is not located in Grovetown, GA
