*Position Summary:*The Registered Dietitian will help identify and review the nutritional needs of Norwood Crossing residents, while implementing interventions to help maintain and achieve specific nutritional status and enhance the quality of life based on resident goals.*Duties and Responsibilities:*§ Provide nutritional expertise to the interdisciplinary team regarding residents on caseload.§ Interact with other departments in setting up any policies or procedures as they relate to dining services and nutrition.§ Actively participate in weekly care plans in order to provide updates and/or changes.§ Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.§ Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes or menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability, as well as, needs of the residents.§ Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.§ Following standard practices of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' and facility regulatory requirements.§ Actively participate in required meetings to report any changes or updates for residents on caseload.§ Other duties as assigned and appropriate.*Essential Job Functions:*· Ability to walk or stand 85% of time at work· Able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position· Possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met· Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability· Must be in good general health and demonstrate the ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of working with this population· Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds up to a max of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 4 feet unassisted and be able to push, pull move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.*Qualifications:*· Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field· Passed a national exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)· Licensed or certified, per state requirements.· Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and resident's rights.· Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition.· Able to read, write, speak and understand English.· Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism.· Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public· Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel· Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm· Experience working in long-term care (preferred)Job Type: Full-timePay: From $63,500.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* Dietetics* GeriatricsSchedule:* Monday to Friday* Weekends as neededApplication Question(s):* Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen?* Able to show proof of Covid Vaccination?License/Certification:* Registered Dietitian License (Required)Work Location: In person
