Competitive Compensation:
Pay for this position starting at $35/hr.
This position includes a night shift differential of $3/hr.
and weekend differential of $4/hr.

About the Job:
The night shift Med Surg Registered Nurse in our hospital provides planned and highly skilled nursing care for the patient.
The RN will assist the physicians and other team members as directed by the supervisor.
Registered nurses care for a variety of patients in the hospital and ICU.
HMC has a robust Surgery department and our hospital nurses care many of the med surg patients.
The shift is 6pm to 6:30 am with a shift differential of $3 for nights and $4 for weekends, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
5 bed Emergency room, Hopedale is not a trauma hospital.
Teamwork heavily focused on promoting better patient experience & high quality of care.
Deliver nursing care as needed.
Assess and document patient status.
Carry out treatments and/or orders.
Assist in positioning and/or transporting the patient.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of equipment, instruments, supplies, and procedures utilized in that specific nursing position.
Record treatment, comments and notes as necessary on the appropriate patient chart, alerting other personnel to all orders, problems, and other pertinent information.
Is flexible, adaptive and able to accept and implement new ideas and approaches.
Administer medication, IV therapy and drips as ordered.
Discharge patients to home or other appropriate place accordingly and per physician's order.
Participate in regular in-service training and other quality assurance activities, as well as continuing education seminars and workshops.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and have a valid Illinois nursing license.
A current CPR/AED card (or willing to obtain upon hire) is required.
ER and/or ICU experience is preferred, but not required.
Must be willing to work overnight, 6pm to 6:30 am.
