The Role:
The Regulatory Compliance Officer is responsible for the management of all aspects of the consumer compliance program to ensure Piermont Bank adheres to applicable laws, regulations and bank policies while keeping abreast of new regulatory developments as they may affect the bank.
While providing subject matter expertise to the business units on development of compliance procedures, resolution of compliance issues and advising on regulatory changes and expectations.
Responsibilities: Daily Compliance Establish, review, and monitor Bank's system of internal controls for ensuring Bank-wide compliance. Consult with Management and employees who have questions about compliance/monitoring related policies and procedures. Perform research as applicable for enhancing our procedures and ensuring the bank meets compliance requirements. Manage upcoming changes in the regulatory landscape as it affects the bank. Monitoring/internal audits/exams/assessments Manage and conduct all Risk Assessments. Oversee and manage compliance regulatory examinations, audits, regulatory inquiries and liaise with business partners in providing requested information. Complete/Review internal compliance monitoring. Track and manage remediation for issues identified in internal monitoring. Enhance the testing and monitoring plan for the bank's deposit and lending function and the fintech's that are part of the bank's Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) program. Training Lead compliance related training for all employees and Board Members annually. Ensure Training Program is relevant, applicable, timely and within current regulations. Reporting Work directly with the Risk Committee and Board of Directors.
Develop and addresses compliance reports to and for the Board, as needed. Manage and enhance Compliance Management System that covers the Bank and FinTech partners. Improvement and management of annual Compliance Policy and annual Complaint Policy. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree required with demonstrated years of progressive compliance experience including management in a compliance role at a commercial bank or a fintech working in close partnership with a bank. Extensive knowledge of consumer compliance laws and regulations. CRCM certification, preferred. Proactive, motivated, strong attention to detail, and proven track record in building good working relationships with bank staff and third-party partners. Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the most senior level in the organization. Proven Manager with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. An understanding of when issues require escalation. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Analytical writing skills.

The hiring range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 per year.
The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
A bonus and/or incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, vision, 401k, and other benefits.
