Our client, a US Fortune 50 organization and a leading provider of Health care and Health Insurance services, seeks a skilled Splunk Administrator .
Responsible for developing conceptual and logical designs for databases and other components to meet overall information requirements and strategy.
Support, install, and maintain Enterprise Splunk environment using standard procedures and processes to gather, format, and load metadata under minimum supervision.
Primary duties may include designing, constructing, and proposing difficult to very difficult Splunk repository, infrastructure, or architectural changes, creating and maintaining associated architectural specification documentation and procedures.
Troubleshoot medium to difficult metadata/Splunk repository and functionality problems with help from others.
Conduct implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of Splunk associated infrastructure and supporting data management.
Perform Splunk system administration duties with little supervision.
Communicate with and mentor junior associates.
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years' experience in information systems with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Splunk administrator or infrastructure support role.
Experience with syslog, syslog-ng logging as they relate to Splunk required.
Prior experience with Splunk SOAR or similar tools and technologies are preferred.
Experience working with Splunk on-premise and Cloud infrastructure required.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g.
Kubernetes) and commercial/government cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) desired.
Experience in Agile frameworks and DevSecOps processes required.
Python scripting skills and experience are highly valued.
