This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of additional funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on the availability of resources. POSITION SUMMARY: The Resettlement Associate assists the initial resettlement team in supporting newly arriving refugees through the Reception and Placement program by providing administrative and direct client services. This is a grant funded position.
\n ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:Document participant services and activities thoroughly and in a timely manner in accordance with program and World Relief requirements Maintain accurate state and WR databases by updating refugee information and uploading required documents Actively encourage participants towards independence and self-sufficiency Provide bus training to new arrivals, and transportation to required or beneficial appointments and public services Create case files prior to case arrival, and maintain file throughout the R&P period Complete pre-arrival preparations such as apartment setup, moving furniture, purchasing essential items and basic food supplies in accordance with R&P Cooperative agreement Register eligible children in school and provide transportation to ESL testing Coordinate Volunteers & Interns to provide direct services to clients as needs arise Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or required by the R&P Cooperative Agreement Train new staff and interns on basic R&P functions Onboard and train new interpreters JOB REQUIREMENTS:Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World ReliefAssociate degree in relevant fields or equivalent professional experience Valid driver's license, regular access to vehicle, and ability/willingness to drive clients to appointments MS Office skills Flexible schedule for occasional work during early mornings, late evenings or weekend. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bilingual preferred: Arabic, Burmese, Dari, Farsi, Pashto, Swahili, Tigrinya, or Urdu. High levels of comfort with technology Fluent in Microsoft software including Excel, Word, and Outlook; skilled in Google Suite products, including Google Drive; prefer Dynamics or other CRM experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Passionate, dynamic, and good at improvising Ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize in a fast paced and fluid environment Ability to work with individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
\n$18 - $18 an hour
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
