Award winning Austin Home Builder with an open book management business practice is seeking for a talented Residential Designer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of design experience including conceptual plans and full construction documents.
Rivendale Homes is the client, and we build urban Infill housing in the City of Austin across all price points.
We are looking for the right candidate to join our management team and bridge the gap between design and construction.
We anticipate 2/3 of your time will be spent in design with 1/3 of your time spent on valuing engineering, field work including lot fit analysis, frame and sheet rock walks with construction, pre-start meetings and final completion team review.
With Rivendale you will learn construction management including, how to build a house on time and on budget, construction budgeting, value creation, and housing preferences of today's homebuyers.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Developing creative architectural plans that wow homebuyers.
· Zoning and development research
· Managing permit application process
· Working with mechanical and truss company to assure home is built correctly.
· Firm understanding of building systems to design well documented and buildable house plans.
· Attend site visits to observe construction and infrastructure
Requirements · Candidate must be familiar with the City of Austin's building and zoning codes governing residential construction.
· Must have architectural or certified building designer stamp, or the ability to receive certification within 6 months of hire.
· 7+ years of design experience
