M Health Fairview - North Branch is hiring a 0.6 FTE Retail Pharmacist!
Our Pharmacist will provide clinical care to patients of the pharmacy, assist the pharmacy manager in the operation and management, provide indirect supervision for support staff and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
We are looking for an engaging, caring individual who is excited to join our team.
At our location, in addition to traditional retail pharmacy functions, you will interact with hospital staff as we prepare discharge medications for patients.
This unique setting allows for a lot of interdisciplinary interaction which our team finds very rewarding!
Location: Fairview Edina Pharmacy (retail) at Southdale Hospital
Hours: 48 hours/2 weeks
Schedule: day/evening shift, one weekend per month

Responsibilities/Job Description:
Provide appropriate clinical care including counseling patients and prospective drug use evaluation to all patients receiving their medication therapy from the Pharmacy.
Perform initial evaluation of patient as it pertains to the prescribed therapies.
Collect, analyze, interpret, and evaluate appropriate data relative to medication therapy.
Evaluate signs and symptoms relative to disease processes and makes recommendations for the modification of drug therapy.
Evaluate the significance and clinical importance of adverse reactions and complications associated with drug therapy.
Provide counseling and answer questions from patients, family and health care professionals concerning drug therapy.
Provide prescription drug therapy to patients/customers ensuring accurate labeling and dispensing of medications in a timely fashion.
Identify and resolve specific medication related problems and issues in the patients best interest.
Ensure dispensing of prescriptions in accordance with all legal requirements, regulatory agencies, third party contracts, and Fairview Pharmacy Services Policy and Procedures.
Responsible for error management activities.
Responsible for accurate and complete billing to payers.
Use all technologies to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the dispensing process.
Assist site manager in training and supervision of pharmacy support personnel.
Provide work direction to technical personnel, prioritize assignments, ensure that tasks are completed in an accurate and timely fashion and follow-up with appropriate feedback.
Responsible for all pharmacy operations in the pharmacy managers absence.
Maintain proficiency in the skills and theory of the practice of pharmacy by reviewing literature, attending in-services, seminars and conferences.
Qualifications:
Required Education B.S.
Degree or Pharm.D.
in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy Required License/Certification/Registration Current Minnesota Pharmacy License Additional Requirements: Understanding of third party pay plans Excellent customer service and interpersonal ability Proficient in the English language Excellent time management skills Good attention to detail Preferred Experience 1-3 years Practicing Pharmacist in a community setting
