Role Profile JOB DETAILS Position Title Industrial Roofer Location Freeport, TX Functionally Reports into Superintendent FLSA Status Non-exempt JOB OBJECTIVE The Industrial Roofer will ensure structural integrity on a building and ensure the safety of those who come in.
Repair, replace or install roofs.
They inspect roofs to ensure there are no leaks or any damage that might cause damage in the future.
Their duties and responsibilities include pre-inspecting roofs and building tops to determine the materials required and determine points that might cause damage.
REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE One (1) years of commercial or industrial roofing experience.
Experience with construction/OSHA safety protocols are a plus.
Management experience is a plus.
Must have good client interfacing skills.
Perform initial safety and technical training on-boarding and stay up to date with training.
Interact with clients in industrial environments.
Complete small / medium repair projects on various roofing systems.
Perform Recommended Action inspections on all jobs Follow established procedures and approved processes.
Follow safety guidelines.
Coordinating and working with Project Manager and office staff on each job.
Setting up precautions to protect the property of owners.
Turning in job reports.
Maintenance and Repair: Perform general work in the repair of asphalt, rubber, slate, tile, shingle, and sheet metal coverings, to include the removal, replacement, and repair of appropriate materials.
Assist in the determination of type, gauge, and amount of materials required for performance of work.
Assemble, install, clean, and inspect gutters, downspouts, flashings, and other roofing materials.
Work from written and verbal instructions, including drawings, diagrams, sketches, calculations using measuring equipment where appropriate.
Remove old roof covering and replace full roof covering to all styles of roofs, in accordance to manufactures specification.
Look after tools, materials and equipment guarding against loss or theft and making them available for use when required.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Must pass drug and background check.
KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of established construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques as well as applicable safety regulations Knowledge of multiple roofing systems: Shingles, Metal, Tiles, Coatings, all Single Ply, and Mod Bit.
Working knowledge tools, methods, and materials used in general maintenance and roofing trade work.
Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools and proficiency in skilled Roofing, maintenance, and repair tasks.
Ability to climb ladders and must be comfortable working heights above 50 ft. Ability to work in hot or cold climate conditions.
Ability to perform thorough roof inspections.
Ability to inspect and locate defects in existing roof systems.
Perform repairs and/or water tests to active leaks.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.
Will talk and hear to communicate.
Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools.
May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
