Position Overview: The Safety Manager will lead the company's safety program to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and support the company's safety objectives. This role collaborates with employees and management to maintain a safe, healthy, and accident-free workplace.
Position Details: Type: Direct hire, full-time, onsite Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 AM–4 PM Location: Glens Falls, NY Compensation: $90,000–$100,000, depending on experience Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and company standards. Drive employee engagement in safety initiatives, including leading safety committees, conducting accident investigations, and performing safety audits. Serve as the primary contact for OSHA regulations, advising personnel on compliance and partnering with operations leadership to address safety concerns. Lead efforts to achieve company safety goals, interpret and apply company-wide safety practices, and ensure consistent application across departments. Analyze incident trends to identify focus areas for safety improvements. Recommend and implement safety training programs for all employees. Manage Occupational Health staff, ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory guidelines.Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience in industrial safety. Knowledge of industrial hygiene techniques, OSHA and DOT regulations, and other relevant federal and state laws. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into strategic actions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels. Experience in leading teams and influencing cross-functional groups. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred certifications: OSHA 500/501, First Aid/CPR, Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
