Responsibilities: Knowledge of all sanitation processes / 7 steps of effective wet sanitation.Assists to supervise daily activities of the sanitation process to assure food safety and quality.Must be able to train new employees on the sanitation process.Sets up the workflow of the crew by providing supplies and PPE and also assures that the team is operating safely.Knowledge/conduct chemical mixing and titrations in a safe way to ensure effectiveness of the cleaning and sanitizing process.Observe/analyze the cleaning process on food and non-food contact areas to avoid cross contamination and provide solutions according to SSOPs and MSS.Performs daily pre-operational inspections to assure the effectiveness methods before/with QA associates.Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during sanitation activities.Perform monthly SQF/GMP/Safety trainings according to plant auditing programs.Establish an active role in plant sanitation improvements, work on special projects as assigned by the manager when not working with the team.Ensure that employees are abiding by all Carl Buddig and Company policies via Employee Handbook and Safety Manual.Sets the example by giving an outstanding performance.
Knowledge and Experience: Ability to legally work in the United States is required.High School Diploma/GED is required.1 -2 years related work experience is preferred.Able to speak/write/understand English; Bilingual is a plus.
Detail oriented, able to follow written instructions and signs off on completion reports and must understand the importance of documentation and implications of falsification. Working Conditions: Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less (temperature may vary hot/cold/humid).Must be flexible and able to work as needed (Weekends/Holidays/Overtime).Must be able to work in a high-speed environment.Must be able to stand for 9-10 hours per day.Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties.Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Must work independently with minimal supervision.
