SAP NS2 is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in SAP Application Lifecycle Management and DevOps to join the Innovation and Analytics team within the Secure Support CoE (Center of Expertise). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing NS2 DevOps processes and tools, as well as overseeing the application lifecycle management of NS2 secure systems. This is a hybrid role based in our Newtown square office and will require going into the office once a week on Wednesdays.
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES The DevOps Engineer brings technical and application expert knowledge to deliver remote/onsite services with our experts and focuses on system optimization, conceptual planning, and empowering customers with the newest, best practice knowledge. A CoE Engineer takes full responsibility for the quality of the delivered tasks and is accountable for their success; this involves analysis of highly complex business processes, including root cause analysis and optimization in heterogeneous system landscapes. They maximize the use of SAP Best Practices derived from best-run businesses.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Design, implement, and manage SAP DevOps processes and tools to automate and streamline the development, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions.Oversee the application lifecycle management of our SAP systems, including version control, deployment, and release management.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and implement enhancements and upgrades to our SAP environment.Continuously monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of our SAP DevOps infrastructure and tools.Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams on SAP DevOps and application lifecycle management best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP DevOps and application lifecycle management.Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP DevOps and application lifecycle management trends and technologies, and make recommendations for their adoption where appropriate.General Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field preferred.5+ years of experience in SAP DevOps and application lifecycle management, with a strong focus on SAP systems and technologies.Ability to perform root cause analysis for critical customer support issues and communicate complex recommendations to customer leadership.Work collaboratively within a team on development projects.Lead in customer implementation projects' preparation, conception, realization, and Go Live.Demonstrate the ability to plan, run, and manage blueprint workshops/meetings with internal and external clients.ALM Qualifications: In-depth knowledge and experience with SAP Change and Transport System (CTS) and CTS+ for managing the transport of changes in SAP systems.Familiarity with configuring and managing transport routes, layers, and landscapes in SAP CTS and CTS+.Experience in setting up and maintaining transport management systems (TMS) for SAP applications.Proven expertise and hands-on experience with SAP Change Request Management (Charm) in configuring and customizing SAP Charm for change request management, including managing approval workflows, release cycles, and transport routes.Strong understanding of the SAP Solution Manager platform and its capabilities for managing the entire application lifecycle.Bonus: Experience in working with SAP Cloud ALM in hybrid (onprem and cloud) environments.DevOps Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of SAP DevOps tools and technologies, such as Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.Experience in building within cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) using IaC principles.Strong understanding of SAP architecture, modules, and components.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Note: The job description is meant to be a guideline. Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is ******** (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
