Job Summary: This is a 1.0 FTE long term substitute position for an Elementary School Counselor (grades K-6).
Under the direction of the school Principal, the Counselor is responsible for performing general counseling functions.
The school counselor fills a critical role in ensuring that every student receives the time and support needed to learn at high levels and to access and surpass grade-level learning.
The school counselor provides a data-informed, proactive and responsive intervention systems based upon relationships.
The counselor will aim programs and services at promoting student social-emotional and classroom success.
Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description.

Salary Range: Guest Teacher pay rate is $28.67 per hour, $215.00 per day for 0-20 days; $30.67 per hour, $230.00 per day for 21-44 days; and $34.67 per hour, $260.00 per day for 45 or more days.

Endorsement Required: ESA School Counselor.


Qualifications: Valid State of Washington teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement. Possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certification for duration of employment with the District when required for position by Board Policy. Applicants are responsible for determining that they have the appropriate endorsement and current Washington State certification for the position.
