Role Description:As a Script Specialist you'll be part of a highly engaged and flexible support team. You will help drive the quality of Homes.com's scripts from inception through final implementation through a combination of direct editorial, coaching, and training. You will provide timely help-desk style support, revising scripts, answering questions and providing direct feedback to writers. You will also assist in delivering script-focused training for writers, editors, and the content team at-large.
Responsibilities:
Conduct fast and thorough real-time script edits, ensuring the highest quality content reaches our users.
Offer direct scriptwriting feedback to writers, with a focus on craft mentorship and long-term skill development.
Collaborate with managers to support their goals for individual contributors and team development.
Craft custom scripts and guide best script practices for special projects.
Uphold and help evolve the craft quality standards for all Homes.com scripting content.
Plan and deliver script-focused training modules and workshops to the entire content team.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, creative writing, English, communications or equivalent from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college.
A track record of commitment to prior employers.
3-5 years of writing/editing experience with scripts.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality content adhering to deadlines and deliverables.
Strong interpersonal skills, including experience giving and receiving direct feedback.
Strong editing and proofreading skills.
Strong verbal and written skills.
Excellent grammar and spelling.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Ability to multi-task assignments through multiple stages of production.
Highly collaborative team player.
