Global Collateral Management Sr. Analyst analyzes, reconciles, compiles and coordinates periodic invested asset, collateral agreement, and other data/terms to prepare collateral and related reports for global oversight and governance purposes, as well as for business or corporate needs. Performs data analysis and collateral agreement/treaty research to answer questions and develop solutions. Takes a lead in developing new and ad hoc collateral reporting, including related to new business opportunities and legal entity collateral positions and risks. Coordinates quarterly collateral stress testing and related reporting. Ensures accurate, reliable and timely collateral reporting and analysis.
ResponsibilitiesPerforms collateral reporting functions for the business unit, area or function, which may include any or all of the following:Monthly collateral database preparationMonthly letter of credit reportingQuarterly legal entity collateral risk reportingQuarterly collateral demand and supply reportingPeriodic agreement-level internal and external collateral reportingQuarterly CLC stress testing and reportingNew business pipeline reporting and analysisAd hoc collateral analysis, including stress testingTrust funding status assessment and recommendations for trust margining actionsCollateral legal agreement documentation oversightSchedules and leads collateral meetings with internal functional and corporate key stakeholders, including geographic regions and Investments.Leads report development and/or updates; addresses collateral reporting related questions raised by business unit, area, or function; supports operational efficiency efforts.Assists with new transaction due diligence and analysis related to collateral; gathers information on new business pipeline needs and assists with reporting on collateral impacts of pipeline and emerging risks.Oversees the documentation of new collateral agreements as well as recapture and collateral triggers.Coordinates with Treasury, Investments, and other functional areas to support large, intercompany settlement activities and other funding desk needs.Uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and propose solutions for enterprise-wide and deal-specific collateral sourcing or reporting issues.Shares technical expertise with others; recommends process improvements, provides functional advice and/or training as needed.Coordinates and completes special projects, appropriately balancing priorities and deliverables.Serves as liaison to other business units, areas and functions as needed.RequirementsEducation and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent related work experience8+ years investments, finance, accounting, or auditing experiencePreferred: Prior experience with collateral operations, analysis or reportingPrior experience with investment portfolio managementPrior experience with investment dataPower BI, Tableau, Alteryx or other data visualization / data manipulation application knowledgeSkills and Abilities Required: Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skillsAbility to perform ad hoc data analysis and provide written and oral explanations of findings and suggested actionsAbility to be flexible when needed, take initiative, and demonstrate accountabilityIntermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledgeAbility to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditionsIntermediate level of investigative, analytical and problem-solving skillsIntermediate interpersonal skillsAbility to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverablesAbility to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projectsAbility to balance detail with departmental goals/objectivesAbility to foster customer service and build strong working relationships with members of other departmentsAbility to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions
