Overview:
ENERCONs Data Center Mission Critical Division (DCMC) is seeking an Arc Flash Program Engineer / Electrical Engineer to join our team based in one of our various office locations across the U.S., or remote.
In the DCMC division, we work with small and large-scale Data Center and Mission Critical clients.
Our clients range from National Laboratories using High Process Computing for scientific research to the worlds top Fortune 100 technology, communications, enterprise, hyperscale, and colocation companies with high availability demands.
Responsibilities:
As the Arc Flash Program Engineer / Electrical Engineer, you will analyze complex power systems and develop studies for our major data center clients, provide mentoring/coaching to less experienced engineers, develop relationships with our clients, and help the team achieve short and long-term business goals.
This role is fast-paced, detailed-oriented, engaging, and requires leaderships skills to continue the fast-growth of the group.
Perform and/or provide oversight for short circuit calculations, medium and low-voltage coordination evaluations to optimize protective relay and breaker settings, and arc flash studies in compliance with NFPA, IEEE 1584, and other industry standards Perform on-site data collection activities, as needed (document protective device types and associated settings, develop and document single lines and confirm loading information such as motor HP, full load amps, locked rotor amps, etc.)
Develop or modify power system models to accurately reflect the designed and/or as-built site conditions Prepare error-free engineering documents (e.g., drawings, sketches, instructions, inputs, calculations, analyses, evaluations) according to and bounded by industry codes, standards, and regulations to support client engineering needs Perform QA/QC on engineering deliverables performed by others Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain required inputs, elevate roadblocks, and develop innovative solutions Develop and execute standards for power system studies and calculations across groups / offices Maintain up to date and relevant knowledge of industry codes and standards, safety culture, and design/analysis techniques suitable to the data center industry Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university Minimum of 2+ years of experience with power system studies using electrical modeling software (SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power, etc.)
PE License or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment (incentive bonus available) Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems and data centers (NFPA 70 & 70E, and IEEE 1584) Proficient with Microsoft Suite including, but not limited to, Word and Excel Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to listen to clients and identify opportunities for growth Leadership skills with strong aptitude for mentoring, motivating junior engineers, and develop a strong culture Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to travel 10%-20%; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks Employment Requirement Must be a US Citizen Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access to nuclear sites.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
