Introduction:

Are you a highly skilled civil engineer with a passion for public works projects? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Civil Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the planning and execution of municipal improvements and serve as a key leader in our engineering division.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

Collaborate with senior engineers in the planning and design of municipal improvement projects.

Inspection and Oversight:

Act as the chief inspector and/or monitor for large and complex engineering projects, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.

Contract Management:

Prepare and manage contracts and detailed reports related to engineering projects.

Coordination:

Work closely with other divisions, outside consultants, contractors, engineers, and external agencies to ensure seamless project execution and coordination.

Additional Duties:

Perform other related duties as required to support the successful completion of projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

Professional Registration:

Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) with a license to practice in Louisiana. Out-of-state registrations are acceptable; however, candidates must obtain Louisiana registration within the probationary period.

Experience:

A minimum of four years of professional engineering experience gained after obtaining PE registration.

Skills:

Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Proven ability to oversee complex projects and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
