Responsibilities and Impact: As a Senior Director of Cloud Platform Engineering and Operations, you will apply your extensive knowledge of cloud computing, databases, and software architecture to manage software design and development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications, operating systems, and databases according to current and future design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision improvements to the architecture.
We need a leader with a passionate can-do attitude, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate while acting as a thought leader in this domain space.
Define technology and operational strategy and support roadmaps.Manage the design, development, and operations of the team with a focus on operational excellence and availability.Recruit and build a diverse, capable, and cohesive engineering team.Drive continuous improvement and envision the future state of the Cloud Platform.Translate and communicate impactful business stories that drive action.Foster strong partnerships with Operations, Support, Product Management, and Engineering across S&P divisions.Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $152,000 to $275,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We're Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: 10+ years leading complex technical/engineering product and cloud service teams with most of this experience in a cloud environment, 5+ years of recent experience in leadership roles.10+ years of relevant work experience in cloud computing, cloud services, databases, or big data or NoSQL technologies or data science and data analytics.Experience with AWS technologies building Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities that enable teams to build cloud-native applications without the need to understand the underlying infrastructure.Demonstrated record of coaching and mentoring Engineering leaders on both technical and management career tracks.Additional Preferred Qualifications: Strong business acumen, comfortable with interaction with customers directly when needed.Knows how to manage rapidly scaled teams and demonstrated ability to develop and execute a growth strategy.Ability to learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.Experience working with auditors and regulatory effectively is a plus.About S&P Global Ratings: At S&P Global Ratings, our analyst-driven credit ratings, research, and sustainable finance opinions provide critical insights that are essential to translating complexity into clarity so market participants can uncover opportunities and make decisions with conviction.
